PROLOGUE
It's been several days now since we left home. Fire Lord Ozai was
...generous enough to provide his exiled son with a working ship and a
token crew. If I sound bitter, you may blame my repressed infuriation with my
brother.
The ship is an older model, clearly from the water battalion for the Ba Sing Se
invasion (an insulting reminder in itself and one I am sure he meant for me to
notice). I know this not so much from the minor battle scars this ship bears, but
rather the thick dust that covered the rusty patches of the deck and coated the
filmy windows.&#

Dedication
I have heard some say that confession is good for the soul. However, this only works if one has an available audience. Or a receptive one, for that matter. For my soul to be eased, there are only two people I would wish to speak with. One can no longer reply. The other chooses not to...at least, not at this time.
